Giuliano Elias Pereira is an enology researcher of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), since August 2005. He’s undergraduated in Agronomy from Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Brazil, in 1996.

In 2005, he finished the PhD course in the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA-Bordeaux-France) and Bordeaux 2 University on Viticulture and Enology. In his thesis, he used 1H NMR spectroscopy and HPLC to determine grape and wine composition according to different terroirs in Bordeaux. Nowadays, he is developing research on enology for Embrapa in a tropical condition, in the semi-arid region of Northeast Brazil.
