| Véronique Cheynier
She graduated from Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon and did a PhD in analytical chemistry. She then spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at UC Davis, in the Department of Enology and Viticulture. Since 1985, she has been managing research on wine polyphenols at INRA-Montpellier. Her team has international reputation on structure and analysis of polyphenols from grape and other plant sources, physico-chemical processes involving these compounds (enzymatic oxidation, reactions of anthocyanins and tannins, interactions, aggregation), especially in wine, their influence on wine quality and typicality and their modulation through technological processes. She was the recipient of the first Group Polyphenol award, in 2000. She has published over 100 papers in international scientific journals and numerous articles in technological journals. She is also co-editor (with her colleague, P. Sarni-Manchado) of « Les polyphénols en agroalimentaire », published by Lavoisier, in 2006. | Organisation Organised by Forum Œnologie and ISARA-Lyon, along with main sponsors Inter Rhône and the Revue des Œnologues, ISS will be held in the heart of Lyon's biotech hub. It will make use of the modern facilities at ISARA, an agricultural and food engineering school: videoconferencing, multiplexing and simultaneous translation, in order to present speakers from all over the world. This conference will also enjoy an international audience, thanks to publication of the proceedings by the journal Revue des Œnologues and on the Web site, www.syrah.symposium.tv |
