For Whom Is This Symposium Intended?

An extensive amount of research is being conducted throughout the world on Syrah, on vineyard and winemaking practices and on marketing strategies. We decided that it would be interesting to gather together current knowledge in this area so that it could be shared with those who need it.

Experts and practitioners: vineyard managers, winemakers, technicians, oenologists, production managers and advisors, large wineries, négociants, researchers, sales and marketing staff, wine stewards and merchants, trade press, consultants, wholesalers, wine lovers, students, teachers and many others.

We are delighted to welcome you to this international symposium, which will undoubtedly provide an opportunity for learning as well as a forum for the exchange of constructive ideas.

Organisation

Organised by Forum Œnologie and ISARA-Lyon, along with main sponsors Inter Rhône and the Revue des Œnologues, ISS will be held in the heart of Lyon's biotech hub. It will make use of the modern facilities at ISARA, an agricultural and food engineering school: videoconferencing, multiplexing and simultaneous translation, in order to present speakers from all over the world.

This conference will also enjoy an international audience, thanks to publication of the proceedings by the journal Revue des Œnologues and on the Web site, www.syrah.symposium.tv
