Ulrich R. Orth

Ulrich R. Orth is A&F Marketing Professor and Chair at Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, Germany; previous positions include professorships at Oregon State University, Mendel University Brno (Czech Republic), and Munich University of Technology.

His main research interests include individual, social, and cultural drivers of consumer differential response to design, servicescapes, and brands, especially related to wine. Prof. Orth's work has been published in numerous academic and applied outlets including Journal of Marketing, Journal of Advertising, European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Social Psychology, and others.

He is a founding fellow of the Academy of Wine Business Research, and is currently editor of the International Journal of Wine Business Research. Wine businesses in multiple countries frequently consult with him on issues of brand management, retailing, and customer relationship management.
